| WILMINGTON, NC. States along the Atlantic are bracing for Tropical Storm Hanna. Tropical storm watches or warnings are in effect today from Altamaha Sound in Georgia to Sandy Hook, New Jersey. As of 5 a.m. today, Hanna had maximum sustained winds near 65 mph and was centered around 430 miles south of Wilmington, North Carolina. |

CHURCH HILL, MD. State police say one of two inmates walked away from a correctional center in Queen Anne's County has been captured. Police say an anonymous tip helped Queen Anne's County Sheriff's deputies catch 52-year-old James Cramer. Authorities say he and 41-year-old Billy Gene Dolly left the grounds of the Eastern Pre-Release Unit in Church Hill on Wednesday.

| ANNAPOLIS, MD. Organizers have canceled Sunday's scheduled Annapolis Triathlon. The event was initially expected to draw 1,500 participants, but only 300 or 400 paid the entry fee after organizers were forced to eliminate the bicycle portion of the three-part race. Anne Arundel county officials denied the permits needed for the bicycle route, citing safety concerns. |

The Baltimore Orioles will welcome the Oakland Athletics to Camden Yards for a weekend series. The birds are coming off of a road trip where they went 0-6 and have lost 13 of the past 15 games. The two teams have met only once this season, with the Orioles on the wrong end of an Athletics' sweep.
