Major Drug Bust in Anne Arundel County Leads to Four Arrests

A narcotics investigation spanning several months culminated in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a substantial quantity of illicit drugs and firearms in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

On May 17, 2024, detectives executed search warrants at two locations – the 5100 block of Raynor Avenue in Linthicum and the 8900 block of Winged Foot Drive in Pasadena – following a tip about potential drug distribution activities in the county.

The raids yielded a significant haul, including firearms, ammunition, cash, and various controlled substances. Among the items seized were a Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun with an extended magazine, a Springfield Arms AR-15 platform rifle, a Glock 19 9mm handgun with loaded and extended magazines, a Stoeger 9mm handgun, and $1,689 in U.S. currency.

Authorities also confiscated 189 suspected fentanyl pills, approximately 98 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 25 grams of suspected cocaine, 72 suspected heroin/fentanyl capsules, 645 grams of suspected cannabis, 556 grams of suspected THC liquid, 33 unknown pills, drug packaging materials, and three digital scales.

The investigation led to the arrest of:

  • Cassidy Cierra Schmidt, 22, of Pasadena
  • Alexia Nichole Bowen, 20, of Pasadena
  • Dawson Stowe Beattie, 21, of Gambrills

They now face charges related to the alleged drug distribution activities.

Anne Arundel County authorities commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies involved in the operation, which aimed to disrupt the flow of illegal narcotics and associated criminal activities in the region.
