GREENBELT, Md. (7News) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man connected to a home invasion and assault in Greenbelt, Maryland, on Monday night.
According to the Greenbelt Police Department, officers responded to the 6200 block of Springhill Court around 8:34 p.m. for a reported home invasion and first-degree assault.
Officials said the suspect remained outside the apartment for more than an hour before forcibly entering while armed with a large knife.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a black Adidas hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans, black-and-white shoes, a blue surgical-style face mask and a black ski mask rolled up on top of his head.

Police did not say if anyone was injured in the incident.
