Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said he is living in a “nightmare world” and cannot believe it’s real, according to sources exclusive to Page Six.

Last week during a fundraising event at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, the onetime Trump attorney was overheard lamenting his current bankruptcy due to multiple debts and mounting legal bills.

An attendee overheard Giuliani say he’s in a “nightmare world” and that “he wakes up every day and can’t believe it’s real,” Page Six reported.

Giuliani is facing multiple legal and financial troubles stemming from a $148 million verdict in Georgia in December. Judge Beryl Howell ruled that Giuliani had defamed mother and daughter Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss after he falsely accused them of committing voter fraud while counting ballots in Fulton County during the 2020 election.

Sources told Page Six that Giuliani was attending an event in support of Arizona Republican congressional candidate Abe Hamadeh.

Giuliani recently emailed supporters via his Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund, writing, “Friend, there’s no other way to say this… You may truly be my only hope. The Biden Regime is sending a top ally of President Trump to PRISON!

“The Deep State is hellbent on indicting, arresting, bankrupting, and imprisoning President Trump and his top allies for daring to challenge the corrupt forces that have hijacked our once Free Republic. And as the lawyer who successfully defended President Trump from impeachment, I am at the top of their list,” he wrote.

In February, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane permitted Giuliani to seek a new trial and dispute the amount of damages awarded in the Georgia election case.
