An American Muscle survey of 1,005 Americans shows that almost half of Americans have a positive view of the change in the proposal by the Biden administration and the Environmental Protection Agency on electric vehicles.

In February, sources said the Biden administration would ease the proposed yearly requirements through 2030 to cut tailpipe emissions and increase EV sales.

The American Muscle survey showed 46% of Americans have a positive view of the change.

Democrats have a much higher favorability toward the updated proposal, with 61% positive to 13% negative, while only 29% of Republicans viewed it positively versus 40% negatively.

Americans also believe that new vehicle production will be 100% electric by 2111.
