
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Two men were safely extracted from a ninth-floor ledge at the Embassy Suites Hotel on Democracy Blvd. in Montgomery County, after fleeing out their window to evade a man who had broken into their room.
The incident unfolded in the early hours when Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) received a call at approximately 12:43 a.m. regarding an armed robbery attempt.

According to MCPD, a third man had entered the pair’s hotel room armed with a gun and attempted to rob the occupants.
In a bid to escape, these two men climbed out onto the ledge.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service’s Special Operations Technical Rescue Team was called in to do a high-angle rescue. The two men were brought down to safety without injury.
