
COLUMBIA, Md. (WBFF) — Howard County police are searching for a 26-year-old Columbia man after his ex-girlfriend was found dead with stab wounds inside his apartment, days after she was reported missing.
Police say Arjun Sharma is wanted on first- and second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of Nikitha Godishala, 27, of Ellicott City.
According to investigators, Sharma reported Godishala missing on Jan. 2, telling police he last saw her on Dec. 31 at his apartment in the 10100 block of Twin Rivers Road.
Authorities later learned Sharma left the United States later that same day on a flight to India.

Detectives executed a search warrant at Sharma’s apartment on Jan. 3, where they found Godishala dead.
Police say she suffered multiple stab wounds.
Investigators believe Godishala was killed shortly after 7 p.m. on Dec. 31.
No motive has been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
