
(WBFF) — An armed carjacking in West Baltimore’s Upton neighborhood led to the arrest of two juveniles and a 19-year-old man.
Police audio revealed that the suspects, described as two males and one female, were armed with firearms, including an assault rifle.

The carjacked vehicle was spotted in East Baltimore on Monday, and with the assistance of a police helicopter, authorities apprehended a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, and a 19-year-old man. All suspects were taken to central booking.
Residents expressed concern over the incident, with one saying, “Honestly, it’s disgusting,” and another adding, “It’s very dangerous.”
Despite carjackings reaching an all-time low last year, the community remains vigilant. “You know you have to be very careful, you have to be mindful of your environment,” a resident advised.
The incident reignited discussions on juvenile crime and accountability. “Do you think there should be some kind of consequences with that? On both parents and children, yes,” one resident commented. Another emphasized the importance of mentorship, stating, “You know, learn how to be an excellent mentor for them.”

Baltimore Police Department reported that no weapons were recovered at the time of the arrests. It remains unclear if the juveniles are still in custody or if they have prior arrests.
