MARYLAND (WBFF) — The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is reducing its services for Local Bus, MARC Train and Commuter Bus on Sunday due to the winter storm and expected hazardous roads.
Officials said the decision was made in order to protect the safety of riders and employees.
Service Reductions:
Suspending local bus service will allow crews to clear and treat roads and transit corridors.
“Transit operations staff are closely coordinating with our partners at Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel Counties and we will resume bus operations when the roads are safe for buses to travel on,” according to MTA.

Riders are urged to avoid non-essential travel. However, if you do have to travel, officials recommend dressing warmly, allowing extra travel time and monitoring the agency’s service alerts and on social media @mtamaryland for up-to-date information.
