An audio recording from 2023 posted online and obtained separately by The Baltimore Sun portrays multiple Cecil County Sheriff’s Office employees talking about sexually “brutalizing” then-county executive Danielle Hornberger, who now goes by Danielle Robinson.

A video of the purported voicemail between Sheriff’s office employees was posted Tuesday to YouTube by blog Cecil County News and to Facebook by Towson civil litigation law firm Turnbull Brockmeyer Law Group. The Sun could not independently verify the authenticity of the recording, and has decided not to use the names of the employees.

According to the social media posts, four high-ranking Sheriff’s Office employees were involved in the conversation.

Cecil County Sheriff Scott Adams told The Sun he has asked for an investigation to be conducted by an outside agency, and was “unable to comment” further at this time.
