Woman accused of injecting feces-filled syringe into child’s IV

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — An Ohio woman appeared in court Tuesday on charges of child endangerment and torture/cruelty abuse,

Prosecutors said that a child was admitted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital on Feb. 6 for suspected abuse. Two days later, surveillance video showed Tiffany Lesueur entering a hospital bathroom carrying a specimen cup.

Authorities allege Lesueur, 35, exited the bathroom with the cup containing fecal matter mixed with a liquid and later injected the substance into the child’s IV using a syringe.

Lesueur’s bond was set at $250,000 during Tuesday’s court hearing. She is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 19.
