A Stuart man’s backyard target practice went wildly off course, sending bullets flying into a neighbor’s home and even hitting a horse, deputies say.

28-year-old Felipe Pascual-Andres told the Martin County Sheriff’s Office that he had recently purchased a new firearm and was practicing shooting at his SE Salerno Road property when three rounds left his yard, deputies reported.

According to a post to MCSO’s Facebook page, one bullet traveled through the door and wall of a neighboring home before landing on a kitchen windowsill.
