BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore County Police are investigating after a physical altercation involving several students from Perry Hall High School ended with one student being injured.
School officials confirmed the incident occurred this morning at around 7:45 a.m., off school property in the 4600 block of Ebenezer Road.
During the altercation, one student sustained an injury and returned to the high school, where they received treatment from the school nurse.
Police were subsequently called to the scene to investigate the situation.
Officials confirmed that one of the students was in possession of a knife.
The following includes a message that was sent out to the Perry Hall High School community:
Dear Perry Hall High School Parents and Caregivers—
At approximately 7:45 a.m. this morning, school administration was notified that several students were involved in a physical altercation off campus and that one of the students involved was in possession of a knife.
A student was injured in the altercation and returned to the building where they were immediately seen by the school nurse. Baltimore County police were contacted and are actively investigating this incident. Law enforcement will pursue appropriate legal consequences for those involved, and school administration will take appropriate action in issuing consequences in accordance with the Student Behavior Handbook.
We appreciate parents and students reporting their concerns early this morning as we all have a role to play in ensuring that our school remains a safe and secure learning environment for our children.

Police confirmed that the injured student sustained a non-life-threatening injury and did not get transportation to a hospital.
