Police officers seize almost 50 pounds of cornflakes during drug raid worth nearly $1M

WEST YORKSHIRE, England (WKRC) – Police officers seized just under 50 pounds of stolen cornflakes while conducting a drug raid that uncovered nearly $1,000,000 worth of narcotics.

According to information from the West Yorkshire Police obtained by MSN, while searching two suspect properties in Pontefract and Darrington on March 9, investigators found a cache of illegal substances, stolen goods, and cash.

The haul allegedly included over $13,000 in cash, over $150,000 worth of Rolex watches, almost 50 pounds of stolen boxes of cornflakes, and just under $1,000,000 worth of narcotics.

Four men were arrested in connection to the raid, ages between 23 and 47, and all were charged with drug offenses, authorities said:

  • Kyle Bates, 34, was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis, and ketamine.
  • Alan Tonks, 47, was charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis, and ketamine.
  • Reece Britnell, 23, was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
  • Mark Bates, 38, was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, cannabis, and ketamine, and possession of criminal property.
