
WASHINGTON (TNND) — The FBI announced Monday evening that a Georgia resident was indicted for targeting professional athletes in a massive fraud and sex trafficking scheme.
They said that Ford got access to many victims’ account and credit card details.
“Dozens of victims’ accounts and credit card details were fraudulently accessed by Ford, who used the information to fund thousands of dollars in personal expenses,” the post continued.
A press release from the FBI says that Ford was convicted of computer fraud and aggravated identity theft in 2019.
“While serving time for stealing credit card numbers from athletes and celebrities to fund his lifestyle, Ford allegedly engaged in the same conduct again,” U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg said in a statement. “Disturbingly, the indictment alleges that Ford went even further and used a fraudulent online persona to traffic a young woman and coerce her to produce hidden camera videos of commercial sex acts with unknowing individuals.”
The case is currently being investigated by the FBI.

“Members of the public are reminded that the indictment only contains charges,” the press release concludes. “The defendant is presumed innocent of the charges, and it will be the government’s burden to
