MARYLAND (WBFF) — More than a dozen Maryland businesses have secured contracts, grants and other funding with the Department of Homeland Security worth nearly $20 million since 2004, according to data posted online this month by activist hackers calling themselves the Department of Peace.
According to 501(c)3 nonprofit DDoSecrets.org, where the data was published, the Department of Peace hacked the Office of Industry Partnership for its contracts.
The leaked documents feature information on 6,681 organizations that applied for contracts with the Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, including Anduril, Microsoft, Oracle, Palantir and Raytheon, the post said.
“I’m releasing this because the DHS is killing us and people deserve to know which companies support them and what they’re working on,” the Department of Peace’s statement to DDosSecrets read.
