The debate is raging on social media: Baltimore or Washington, D.C.?

While the conversation is a tale as old as time, it sparked a new chapter on Thursday, thanks to rapper Cardi B.

“Okay I definitely see the difference in Baltimore and DC,” she said in a post on X that has been viewed over a million times.

“DC gives Harlem Baltimore gives Brooklyn,” she followed up with.

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore got in on the conversation.

“So…what I’m getting from this is…you rock with Baltimore?” Moore asked.

Moore let it be known where he stands in the debate.

“Two cities, two vibes Baltimore just hits different, respectfully,” Moore said on X.

Of course, the conversation didn’t end there.

Social media users were all over the map with their opinions.

“Love D.C. but Baltimore is more my vibe. I miss working downtown especially in the summer,” one posted.

Another said, “I lived in Baltimore from 0-18 years and DC 18 years to now. They don’t have a single thing in common.”

Some sensed that this debate could be heated.

“I’m from Washington DC! Southeast to be exact lived around Butler Gardens and Stanton Oaks just to be clear. But I love Baltimore so with all due, i’m staying out of any type of fake internet beef lol,” another X user posted.
