FREDERICK, Md. (WBFF) — A 19-year-old Frederick man is facing assault and sex offense charges after deputies say he groped a woman inside a Walmart while she was shopping with her young child, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the incident happened on April 22 at the Walmart on Guilford Drive.
A woman reported she was shopping with her young child when a man approached her and told her she had something on her buttocks.
Authorities say the man then brushed and squeezed her buttocks with his hand before leaving the store.

Investigators later identified the suspect as 19-year-old Alcides Josuap Carbajal Barahona, of Frederick.
According to the sheriff’s office, surveillance footage showed the teen lingering nearby and appearing to watch the woman prior to the incident.
Carbajal Barahona has been charged by criminal summons with second-degree assault and a fourth-degree sex offense. The summons was served on April 27.
