PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A staff member at DuVal High School was placed on administrative leave after allegedly assaulting a student on Wednesday, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) said.
The principal of the school sent out a letter to families, describing it as a “serious” altercation between a staff member and student, and that it involved “inappropriate physical contact” by the staffer.
“Please be assured that we have zero tolerance for violence or misconduct of any kind. The safety, dignity, and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities. We are taking this matter extremely seriously and are committed to enforcing clear expectations for appropriate behavior while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment,” Principal Dr. Denice Nabinett wrote in the statement.
