Man arrested after abducting Cockeysville Middle School student

COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (WBFF) — A man has been arrested after allegedly abducting a Cockeysville Middle School student on Thursday.

Baltimore County Police said on April 30, around 7:50 a.m., authorities responded to the school after a student had reported that she was abducted.

The student told officers that she was walking to school when she was approached by a man who identified himself as a family friend and persuaded her to get into his vehicle.

Authorities said the suspect then drove the student to multiple locations before dropping her off at the school.

Detectives located the suspect and took him into custody.

Police said he will be identified following his appearance in court.
