Baltimore County (WBFF) — Sarah David is poised to become Baltimore County’s next state’s attorney after winning the Democratic primary, a victory that effectively secures the office because no Republican or independent candidate filed to run.
David’s win marks a milestone for the county, as she is expected to become the first Democratic woman elected to serve as Baltimore County state’s attorney.
Throughout her campaign, David traveled across all nine Baltimore County Council districts, meeting with residents, community leaders, victims’ advocates and business owners to discuss public safety, accountability and her vision for the State’s Attorney’s Office.
“This election marks an important opportunity for Baltimore County. Together, we are beginning a new chapter for the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office, and I look forward to serving every resident with integrity, transparency, and fairness,” David said in a statement following the election.
David also thanked outgoing State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger in an email, expressing appreciation for his years of service to Baltimore County and their shared commitment to ensuring a smooth transition.
