Multiple Baltimore County intersections without traffic signals due to power outages

Drivers are being urged to avoid parts of Baltimore County after widespread power outages left numerous traffic signals inoperable Monday.

The Baltimore County Police Department issued a traffic alert warning motorists that several intersections are without functioning traffic lights while BGE crews work to restore power.

Officials said the outages are expected to last for several hours.

Police are asking drivers to use alternate routes whenever possible and to treat all affected intersections as four-way stops until the signals are restored.

The impacted intersections include:

  • Eastern Boulevard and Virginia Avenue
  • Eastern Boulevard and Marlyn Avenue
  • Eastern Boulevard and Old Eastern Avenue
  • Eastern Boulevard and Selig Avenue
  • Route 702 and Homberg Avenue
  • Route 702 and Mansfield Road
  • Route 702 and Middleborough Road
  • Back River Neck Road and Williams Avenue
  • Back River Neck Road and Country Ridge Shopping Center
  • Back River Neck Road and Middleborough Road
  • Martin Boulevard ramps onto Eastern Boulevard
  • Eastern Boulevard and Kingston Road
  • Old Eastern Avenue and Harrison Road
