SUN: Baltimore County deputy IG resigns months after taking role

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — Baltimore County Deputy Inspector General Gregg Domroe has resigned from his role, but plans to stay on temporarily in an advisory capacity, county officials said Wednesday.

Domroe, a former FBI agent hired in late April as the office’s chief of investigations, stepped into the role in June after former deputy Steve Quisenberry retired in early June. He will continue working on a temporary, part-time basis to handle recruitment and provide stability during the leadership transition, according to Dakarai Turner, a spokesperson for County Executive Kathy Klausmeier.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, an Upper Falls Republican, said Domroe was an “extremely well-qualified individual.”

“I’m sorry to see him go,” he said in a brief phone interview Wednesday. “I think he had the precise background we need in this office.”
