BALTIMORE (WBFF) — WBAL NewsRadio in Baltimore announced internally that it will lay off staff after the station released a new lineup Thursday composed mainly of nationally syndicated shows.
The station has been on the air since 1925 and is owned by Hearst, which is primarily a television and publishing company.
The new lineup still features “WBAL News Now” with Taylor Bennett from 5 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. and Clarence “C4” Mitchell IV and Bryan Nehman in the mornings from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
But both midday host TJ Smith and afternoon host Angelette Aviles have lost their programs.
