Teenage Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Pedestrian Collision in Baltimore
A 15-year-old carjacking suspect was arrested Saturday night after a dangerous incident that left a pedestrian injured. Baltimore Police reported that the teen stole a white Mazda and led officers on a pursuit that ended dramatically.
The police aviation unit, known as Foxtrot, tracked the stolen vehicle and witnessed a critical moment during the chase. A pilot radioed in a horrifying observation: “Oh my god he just hit somebody. He just struck a pedestrian off Saratoga.”
Following the collision, the 15-year-old suspect and several accomplices attempted to flee the scene. While the teenage driver was quickly apprehended, the other individuals managed to escape.
The pedestrian struck by the stolen vehicle was immediately transported to Shock Trauma for medical treatment. The incident underscores the serious risks associated with juvenile criminal activity and vehicle theft in the city.
Baltimore Police continue to investigate the carjacking and are seeking information about the other suspects who fled the scene.
