Baltimore man arrested in deadly assault linked to I-83 crash

A Baltimore man has been arrested in connection with a homicide that was initially discovered following a single-vehicle crash on I-83 North near the Ruxton Road exit last weekend.

On July 25, Baltimore Police announced that 29-year-old Tyler Liggins has been charged with second-degree murder, as well as first- and second-degree assault, in the death of 43-year-old Travon Booth.

Booth was found dead inside a crashed vehicle on I-83 North near the Ruxton Road Exit on July 19, officials said.

According to the medical examiner’s office, Booth died from multiple blunt force injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators believe the fatal incident began in the 1100 block of West Northern Parkway before culminating on the highway.

Maryland State Police initially discovered the victim and alerted city homicide detectives.

Liggins was arrested without incident on July 23 and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
