HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — The Howard County Police Department and County Executive Calvin Ball helped grant holiday wishes for several children at this year’s “Shop with a Cop” event on Saturday morning at the Walmart in Columbia.
The children were selected by their schools to participate, and each kid received money to spend on gifts for the holidays, according to a Dec. 6 social media post by the Howard County Police Department.

Officers and Ball walked with children through the store, helping them pick out toys.

Police thanked the Howard County Police Officers Association, Howard County Police Foundation, Centurions for Justice and the Howard County Police Supervisors’ Alliance for their support, and thanked Walmart for its hospitality.
