Aberdeen Police Department warns of road closures for Reindeer 5K Run

ABERDEEN, Md. (WBFF) — The Aberdeen Police Department is warning of road closures for Saturday’s Reindeer 5K Run.

The sold-out race will start at 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, and the route includes Parke St, Custis Street, S. Rogers Street, Carol Avenue, Walker Street, Cambridge Avenue, Stratford Avenue, Edmund Street and James Avenue.

At 6 a.m., N. Parke Street will be closed between Franklin Street and Walnut Lane.

Police warns drivers to pay attention and stay alert for runners. Drivers should follow officers and race safety employee’s directions as there will be disruption in normal traffic flow on these roads, including W. Bel Air Ave. at Parke Street.

Race day packet pickup starts at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Festival Park Pavilion.

The race is expected to end no later than 11 a.m.
