
FREDERICK, Md. (WBFF) β A 46-year-old woman died following a pedestrian-involved crash last week in Frederick, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 6:22 p.m. on May 29 to the area of Bethel Road and White Rock Avenue for a reported crash involving a pedestrian.
Investigators said Vung Sian, of Frederick, was walking near the right side of the roadway when she was struck by a 2011 Nissan Altima.
Authorities said Sian was walking in the same direction the vehicle was traveling.
The driver remained on scene and provided a statement.

Medics responded and pronounced Sian dead at the scene.
According to preliminary findings, neither drugs nor alcohol is believed to have contributed to the crash. Investigators also said excessive speed does not appear to have been a factor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
