BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A candlelight vigil at Leon Day Park in southwest Baltimore on Tuesday night honored 12-year-old Khloe Ishway, just hours after police announced an arrest in her killing.
In a joint statement, Mayor Brandon Scott and Police Commissioner Richard Worley said detectives arrested 23-year-old Tyree Reynolds in connection with the fatal shooting. Reynolds is facing several charges, including murder and attempted murder.

Khloe’s mother, Kristin Reese, reacted to the arrest at the vigil, saying, “Thank God.”
Reese said she learned about the arrest on social media.
“I knew someone was come forward. It was too many people….for somebody not to say something. So, I’m grateful for that,” Reese said.
According to information FOX45 News learned through its media partners at The Baltimore Sun, Reynolds has previously faced firearm and assault charges. In 2021, he was convicted of first-degree assault and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and sentenced to five years.

The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. last Saturday at Leon Day Park on North Franklintown Road. Four other people were injured, but Khloe was fatally caught in the crossfire.
Police said the shooting was sparked by an apparent argument over a parking spot. Investigators believe Reynolds and another man were involved in the exchange of gunfire.
Reynolds was taken into custody, while police said the other suspect remains on the loose.
Reese said she believes police will catch the second suspect.
“Yes, I’m sure they will. Someone seen something, someone if you seen something, say something, someone seen something,” she said.
Police previously said they were looking for two suspects. A police spokesperson said Tuesday the investigation remains open and ongoing.
