Auction opens for former Commanders owner Dan Snyder’s Potomac mansion

The auction is now open for bids on a luxury Potomac mansion once owned by former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder.

Bidding opened at 3 a.m. Friday on the Concierge Auctions website. Interested buyers can login and begin the registration process. Early estimated bids are expected to range between $7.5 million and $11 million.

The 30,000-square-foot mansion is known as “The River House.” It sits on 13.5 acres along the Potomac River in Maryland.

It has five bedrooms with six full bathrooms and four half-baths.

Snyder purchased the property in 2000 from the King and Queen of Jordan, according to TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.

The estate is now owned by the American Cancer Society after Dan and Tanya Snyder donated the property to the group earlier this year.
