BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Baltimore City Fire Department, in collaboration with Mayor Brandon Scott, held a neighborhood safety sweep on Saturday to showcase recent advancements in reducing fire fatalities.
The event took place on January 17 at Engine 42 Fire Station in Baltimore City.

Fire Chief James Wallace, along with various appointed and elected officials from Baltimore City and Lenora Henry, the Executive Director of the Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region, all participated in the safety sweep.

During the event, officials visited homes in the surrounding community to test smoke alarms, review fire safety and evacuation plans, and install devices where necessary.
