In the YouTube video, Hansen asked Jutras, “How do you think this is going to go over with the people there [public school system of Baltimore]?”

“Oh, I’d be horrible,” Jutras responded.

“It is horrible,” Hansen added.

Hansen teamed up with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office to identify and arrest potential child predators.

On May 7, an investigation began when a detective, posing as a 15-year-old boy, was contacted by a suspect on a social media platform, according to authorities.

The suspect, later identified as Jutras, initiated a conversation with the undercover detective.

Jutras identified himself as a teacher with Baltimore City Public Schools, and authorities said that further investigation revealed that he had taught at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute for many years before becoming an administrator within the Baltimore City school system.

He was once named teacher of the year.

Jutras initiated conversations that were sexually charged, intimate, and included inappropriate sexual photos with who he believed was a 15-year-old boy, the sheriff’s office said.

The detective, who continued posing as a teen, arranged a meeting with Jutras at a Harford County park.

When Jutras arrived, he was taken into custody.

He is currently being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 12 at 1 p.m.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been victimized by Jutras or who has relevant information to come forward.

Authorities said they are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information should call Detective Sergent at 410-836-5428.

Baltimore City Public Schools provided the following statement on Jutras arrests:

Baltimore City Public Schools places the health and safety of students among its highest priorities. We have learned that one of our employees, Dennis Jutras, has been criminally charged in Harford County with solicitation of a minor. He has been placed on administrative leave.”

While Mr. Jutras worked in a role where he worked with schools and students as part of our Gifted and Advanced Learning program, we are not aware of any impact on City Schools students. We encourage anyone who believes they may have information relevant to this investigation or may have been impacted to contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office at 410-838-6600.”
