Baltimore County police are investigating multiple commercial burglaries reported across the county over the weekend, including one on Sunday morning in Catonsville.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, officers were dispatched around 5:40 a.m. on Jan. 11 to the 700 block of Frederick Road in Catonsville after a commercial burglary alarm was activated.

When officers arrived, they discovered signs of a break-in at the business.

While investigating that location, officers were informed that several other businesses in the area had also been broken into overnight.

The Baltimore County Burglary Unit responded and is continuing to investigate this incident.

Police are also investigating a separate string of commercial burglaries that occurred early Saturday morning in Parkville.

Authorities say officers responded around 3:25 a.m. on Jan. 10 to the 7600 block of Belair Road in Parkville for a commercial burglary alarm.

While en route, officers were notified of another burglary alarm at a nearby business.

Police searched the area and surrounding businesses but said the suspects had already fled before officers arrived. At this time, it is unclear if anything was stolen from the businesses.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the burglaries reported in Catonsville and Parkville are related.

Investigators say both cases remain under investigation.
