Baltimore man charged with attempted first degree murder

A Baltimore man has been charged with attempted first degree murder in connection with a cutting incident from February, the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced Thursday.

45-year-old Floyd Best Jr. was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a man with a sharp-edged weapon last month.

On February 1, around 4:40 p.m., officers responded to Saint Agnes Hospital for a report of a walk-in cutting victim.

Upon arrival, BPD officers found a 51-year-old man suffering from a puncture wound to the upper body.

Detectives learned that the victim was assaulted while in the 3900 block of Dolfield Avenue following a dispute with a male suspect.

An investigation led detectives to Best Jr., and his arrest on March 11 in the 6500 block of Frankford Avenue.
