Baltimore man charged with attempted murder after shooting

A 35-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection with a February shooting in North Baltimore that left a 28-year-old man wounded, police said.

Detectives arrested Othneil Carr Jr. of Baltimore in reference to a shooting that occurred Feb. 26 in the 2900 block of Boarman Avenue.

Officers were called to Boarman Avenue at about 3 a.m. that day for a report of a shooting. There, they found the victim suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

On March 10, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Carr without incident in the 2800 block of Boarman Avenue, police said.

He was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where police said he was charged with attempted second-degree murder.
