Baltimore police were investigating a crime by Broadway Market on Tuesday night when a woman drove up and said she was a victim of a crime, too.
Police listened to the woman describe how a man with a knife tried to get into her car.
The man she had accused of the crime had been traveling behind her in a separate vehicle. Police detained that man. Then, they requested an ambulance for him.
Two medics showed up at the crime scene to examine the man’s wounded hand.

Not long after that, officers placed handcuffs on the man and put him in the back of a nearby patrol vehicle. Afterwards, they examined the car that he had been traveling in.
Police searched the front seat of the car, the back of the car, and the trunk. Eventually, one of the officers found an elaborate knife-like weapon with multiple blade edges.

That officer carried the weapon over to a crime lab technician who had been at the location to collect evidence related to an entirely different crime.
Investigators could be seen placing the weapon inside of a box.
