BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore police were kept busy over the Christmas holiday as a series of violent incidents unfolded across the city.
On Christmas Eve, a car crashed into a home, leaving the driver, who was shot, in critical condition.
A witness described the scene, saying, “The house was fully caved in. The car was halfway inside the house.”
The witness also noted suspicious behavior, stating, “When the car had impact, that individual ran out of the car with some type of nap sack in his hand.”

In south Baltimore, as children awaited Santa’s arrival, a man was assaulted and carjacked for his black Jeep.
“Christmas Eve. I think it’s a little selfish,” a resident commented on the incident.
Then on Christmas morning, a robbery in Greektown saw suspects fleeing in a blue vehicle.
“There was like, maybe like seven cop cars, just all like pulling up,” a witness recounted.
Another resident expressed frustration, saying, “Christmas makes you feel, I should be able to have a break, because it’s a holiday.”

The violence continued the day after Christmas with a deadly double shooting in the Gay Street neighborhood.
One victim reported it was an attempted robbery, with police noting, “Second male shot in the face, went right between the eye.”
As Baltimore police work to make arrests for these holiday crimes, residents are left reflecting on the city’s ongoing challenges.
“We live in Baltimore, so it’s always a day-by-day situation,” one resident remarked.
