BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Baltimore’s waterfront will turn into a hub of holiday activity on Dec. 6–7 as the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore rolls out the city’s “Most Festive Weekend.”
The two-day celebration will feature markets, performances, and family-friendly programming—and, for the first time, a free dedicated water taxi service linking the festivities across four waterfront neighborhoods.
In collaboration with the Baltimore City Department of Transportation, the Waterfront Partnership will debut the Holiday Harbor Connector, a no-cost, weekend-only water taxi route.

The service will shuttle visitors between Fells Point, Harbor East, Harborplace, Federal Hill and Locust Point, making it easier to experience events spread across the waterfront.
The initiative is backed by Fells Point Main Street, Federal Hill Main Street, Main Street advocacy leader Ginny Lawhorn, Robert La Pin of Sail Local, Christmas Village in Baltimore and MCB Real Estate.
Highlights include Fells Point Old Tyme Christmas at Broadway Square, Family Weekend at the Christmas Village in West Shore Park, Sock Creature Saturday at the American Visionary Art Museum and the Culturally Curated: Chic Sneaks Edition event at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
The Holiday Makers Market at the Harborplace Light Street Pavilion returns as well, featuring more than 60 local artists, vintage sellers and small businesses, along with seasonal food and drink.

Saturday night will bring one of Baltimore’s signature winter traditions: the Parade of Lighted Boats, presented by Sail Baltimore in partnership with Anchorage Marina.
The illuminated procession benefits the Southeast Exchange Club Toy Drive and celebrates the city’s maritime heritage.
The Holiday Harbor Connector allows visitors to move easily between neighborhoods and experience the full scope of programming taking place along the waterfront,” said Dan Taylor, president of Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, via press release. “From its start as Baltimore’s Most Festive Day in 2022 to its expansion into a full weekend in 2023, this celebration has continued to grow, and this year’s addition of free water-taxi service marks another step forward in making the waterfront more connected, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. We hope many will take advantage of it!
