BPD takes 3 juveniles into custody after carjacking, police pursuit

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Three juveniles were taken into custody Saturday night after carjacking a vehicle to lead officers on a pursuit through west Baltimore, during which police recovered a loaded gun, Baltimore Police said.

On Aug. 8, around 9:30 p.m., officers received a License Plate Reader (LPR) alert in the 1600 block of W. North Avenue for a carjacked vehicle.

Air support was requested to locate the vehicle traveling eastbound on E. North Avenue.

Officers stopped the vehicle at the intersection of E. North Avenue and Homewood Avenue, and located three juvenile boys inside, who were taken into custody.

Officers also recovered a loaded handgun from the car.

The ages of the suspects are not available at this time, and all three were taken to juvenile booking for processing.
