
BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that a tornado touched down in Howard County during storms on Wednesday, March 11.
According to the NWS survey, the EF-1 tornado touched down for a minute from 7:06 – 7:07 p.m. in Cooksville, and traveled .4 miles.
It had a max width of 100 yards and peak winds of 90 MPH.
The NWS said that the tornado snapped and uprooted numerous trees in a narrow corridor along Old Frederick Road.
