A Baltimore man said he would blow up BWI Marshall Airport last week after he was denied entry through security, Maryland Transportation Authority Police alleged.

Sherman Gilbert Anderson, 61, is charged with one count of threatening mass violence. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Anderson did not have an attorney listed in court records as of Thursday, and efforts by the Capital Gazette to reach him were unsuccessful.

According to charging documents, last Friday, a TSA agent told police that a passenger who “was acting funny and seemed in a rush” was denied access through security “due to a boarding pass issue.”
