
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A close call on I-95 near Route 175 in Howard County was caught on police body camera Wednesday night.
On Jan. 7 at 11:38 p.m., camera footage shows a car striking the back of a police car, causing it to hit another patrol vehicle and then a police officer.

“You alright?” a police officer is heard asking the officer who was hit.
“Sir, she got hit by the car,” a person standing by the guardrail said.
“I’m ok. I did get hit, but I’m ok,” the officer who was hit responded.
Authorities said the driver and officer sustained minor injuries.
Now, the Howard County Police Department (HCPD) is emphasizing the importance of the Move Over Law, which requires drivers to make a lane change or slow down when approaching a “stopped, standing, or parked vehicle” showing warning signals.
