Downtown Baltimore traffic changes set for March 23-27 ahead of Orioles opener

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) announced downtown road closures for Monday, March 23rd, through Friday, March 27, 2026.

On opening day for the Orioles, there will be several traffic and parking modifications in effect as they play the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, March 26, starting at 3:05 p.m.

In preparation for the game, the following streets and lanes will be closed on March 26:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets (closure starts at 1:00 p.m.)
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets (closure starts at 1:00 p.m.)
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets (closure starts at 1:00 p.m.)
  • Washington Boulevard from Paca to Greene Streets (closure starts at 10:00 a.m.)
  • Emory Street from Dover to Portland Streets (6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
  • Portland Street from Emory to Greene Streets (7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
  • Hopkins Place from Pratt to Lombard Streets (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
  • Left lane closure of Russell Street from Eislen to Pratt Streets (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

The following parking restrictions will be implemented on March 26, beginning at 10:00 a.m.:

  • East side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets

Fans attending the game are urged to park in facilities located north of the stadium and to avoid parking in residential neighborhoods.

Those without a stadium parking permit should consider using public transportation.

The DOT reported that transportation enforcement officers will be stationed at key intersections to help guide traffic in the downtown area.

Drivers in the area should be on the lookout for pedestrians, particularly near crosswalks.

Other downtown lane closures throughout the week include the following:

  • Baltimore Street eastbound left lane closures at Eutaw Street daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Eutaw Street southbound right lane closures at Baltimore Street daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Guilford Avenue southbound left lane closure at Baltimore Street daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Guilford Avenue reduced to one travel lane (full time) between E. Lexington and E. Fayette Streets.
  • Charles Street right lane closure at Pleasant Street, Monday, March 23rd through Wednesday, March 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.
  • Pratt Street nightly lane closures between Light and President Streets, Sunday evening, March 22nd, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, through Wednesday evening, March 25th, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning (Inner Harbor Intersection Improvement Project).
