DPW confirms 20-inc water main break in the city resulting in 120 services shut off

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) crews announced that approximately 120 water services have been shut off while they repair a 20-inch water main break in the Patterson and Wabash area.

DPW crews are currently on site assessing conditions and initiating repairs for the water main break at 4163 Patterson Avenue.

Officials said that water will be distributed to affected residents and businesses while work is underway.

Properties that are affected by the water main break include Metro Pointe Apartments, Patterson Village Shopping Complex, Home Depot, and Reisterstown Road Plaza.

The release from DPW noted that due to recent cold temperatures, communities are experiencing a higher-than-normal number of water main breaks.

Officials stated that DPW crews “are working around the clock to make repairs as safely and quickly as possible.”
