Driver assaulted in Southeast Baltimore carjacking attempt on Super Bowl Sunday

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Police are investigating after a food delivery driver was assaulted during a carjacking in Southeast Baltimore on Super Bowl Sunday.

On Feb. 8, at around 12:08 p.m., a 30-year-old driver was in the 900 block of East Lombard Street when two unidentified male suspects entered his Honda and attempted to drive away.

As the driver tried to prevent the theft, he was assaulted by one of the suspects.

Police say the victim sustained minor injuries and received treatment from medics at the scene.

Authorities are continuing their search for the suspects involved in the incident.
