Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium hosted a Memorial Day ceremony, honoring Maryland soldiers and veterans buried in the gardens’ Field of Honor.

The ceremony was held within the Circle of Immortals section of the Field of Honor and is described as a thoughtful opportunity to reflect on the contributions of Marylanders to the military.

The event also carries a connection to a long-standing memorial on the grounds.

On Memorial Day in 1998, the American Legion dedicated the official Baltimore County World War II and Korean War Memorial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens to those who gave their lives “to defend and preserve the Liberties of America,” and to recognize all veterans and families who survived the tragedies of war.
