Fatal Shooting on Baltimore MTA Bus Shocks Downtown Commuters

BALTIMORE — A fatal shooting on a Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus in downtown Baltimore has left local residents concerned about public safety. On Saturday, a 30-year-old man, identified as William Womack, was shot and killed near the intersection of South Eutaw Street and West Baltimore Street.

Local commuters expressed shock and fear. “It’s scary. Everybody gets hurt, during the holidays, you never know who’s going to get hurt,” said Bessie Dennis, a regular MTA bus rider.

Darnell Brown, another transit user, noted the location’s significance: “It’s a little alarming, especially for downtown, because this is a very busy intersection.”
