BALTIMORE, Md. (7News) — Thursday marks two years since the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed in Baltimore after a container ship crashed into the bridge.

The two-mile-long bridge collapsed in seconds after the Dali container ship crashed into it. Six construction workers died in the collapse.

Gov. Wes Moore, Lt. Gov. Miller, and other elected officials are expected to speak Thursday afternoon to commemorate the occasion and provide updates on the construction of the new bridge, which is expected to be open to traffic by the end of 2030.
