According to Alger’s guilty plea, he used mobile phones and online applications to “persuade, induce, entice, and coerce three minor victims to engage in sexual activity.” He also paid the mothers of the victims to send him images of the minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The victims all lived in Ecuador, which Alger initially made frequent visits to before eventually buying land and building a house there.
Alger’s iCloud account contained “numerous photos” with him, the victims, and their mothers, all located at his Ecuadorian residence.
